Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology

Chandra Shekhar Azad Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwa Vidhalaya, Kanpur came in to existence on March 1, 1975 by an act of Uttar Pradesh Legislation and was created vide Uttar Pradesh Shashan Krishi Anubagh -4 Notification No. 1086-XII-4, dated March 1st, 1975 with merger of two constituent colleges, the erstwhile Govt., Agri. College Kanpur and College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Mathura. The present status of the University was achieved through various phases of growth of its constituent colleges.

The University has three constituent colleges:

College of Agriculture, Kanpur
College of Home Science, Kanpur
Baba Shaheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar College of Agricultural Engineering & Technology, Etawah

The university offers B.Sc. (Ag.) Hons, B.Sc. (Forestry), B.Sc. (Home Science) Hons., M.Sc. (Ag.), M.Sc. (Home Science), M.B.A. (Agribusiness) & Ph.D in Agriculture & Home Science discipline at main campus at Kanpur & B. Tech (Agril. Engg.), Computer Science & Engg., Electronics & Comm. Engg. & Mechanical Engg. at Etawah.

In pursuance of the provisions of clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India, the Governor is pleased to order the publication of the following English translation of the Uttar Pradesh Krishi Evam Prodyogik Vishwa Vidhalaya (Dwitiya Sanshodhan) Adhiniyam 2006 (Uttar Pradesh Adhiniyam Sankhya 16 of 2006) as approved by the Uttar Pradesh legislation and assented to by the Governor on May 23, 2003.
Amendment of section 14 of the UP .Act No. 45 (1958) (3a)
The Registrar shall be responsible for organizing, by rotation, joint Entrance Examination for admission in all the courses of study of the three State Agricultural Universities.
