ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS:

PROFESSOR:

  1. Master’s degree in concerned discipline with 55% marks in percentage system or its equivalent grade in point scale system by a recognized University.
  2. D. degree in concerned discipline and actively engaged in teaching, research and extension with evidence of research work of high quality published in national/international referred, Journals.
  3. An eminent scholar with minimum of ten years experience in Teaching /Research/Extension including two years experience as Associate Professor (Rs. 12000-18300) pre- revised)/revised pay scale as per 6th pay commission in an equivalent position, (Rs. 37000-67000 + Rs. 9000 AGP) or in an equivalent position. Evidence of contribution to Teaching /Research/Extension as supported by published work/innovations.

Desirable: Teaching Experience at UG and PG level in the concerned/relevant discipline.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

  1. Master’s degree in concerned discipline with 55% marks in percentage system OR its equivalent grade in point scale system by a recognized University.
  2. D. degree in concerned discipline with consistently good academic record.
  3. An eminent scholar with minimum of 08 years experience of Teaching /Research/Extension as Assistant Professor or equivalent level (excluding period spent in obtaining Ph.D. degree) in the Pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 8000-13500 or revised pay scale as per 6th pay commission.

Desirable: Teaching experience at UG and PG level in the concerned discipline, and research papers published in national/international referred journals.

ASSISTANT PROFESSOR

  1. Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a recognized foreign university.
  2. For the candidates having Master’s degree, NET shall remain compulsory along with one publication in NAAS rated referred journal for recruitment to the post of Assistant Professor and equivalent in the disciplines in which NET is conducted. Essentiality of NET can be waived off for the candidates holding Ph.D. degree provided it has been done with course work as prescribed by the UGC Regulations, 2009 (and also as per ICAR letter No. 23(46)/2010-EQR (Edn.) dated 26th December, 2011, issued by ADG (EQR), and the candidate has at least two full length publications having a NAAS rating of not less than 4.0 on the last date of submission of application. Those candidates with Ph.D. degree without course work will not be considered for NET exemption.
  3. Further, the award of degrees to candidates registered for the M. Phil/Ph.D programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinances/By laws/regulations of the Institution awarding the degrees and the Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions :
  • D degree of the candidate awarded in regular mode only;
  • Evaluation of the Ph.D thesis by at least two external examiner;
  • Open Ph.D viva voce of the candidate had been conducted;
  • Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D work out of which at least one must by in a refereed journal;
  • Candidate has made at least two presentations in conferences/seminars, based on his/her Ph.D work
  • to (e) as above are to be certified by the Vice-Chancellor/Pro Vice-Chancellor/Dean (Academic affairs, Dean (University Instructions)

Desirable: (1) Ph.D. in relevant discipline. (2) Two years experience of Teaching/Research/Extension after Master’s degree in concerned discipline.

Note:

  • The NET/SLET will not be an essential qualification in the discipline in which NET/SLET is not conducted.
  • As per UGC letter no. F.17-8/2013(PS) dated 01 March, 2016 is as follows “The period of active service spent on pursuing Research Degree i.e. for acquiring Ph.D. Degree simultaneously without taking any kind of leave may be counted as teaching experience for the purpose of direct recruitment/promotion to the post of Associate Professor and above.”

Farm Machinery & Power BE/B.Tech. and ME/M.Tech. in Farm Power Machinery with first class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech. or ME/M.Tech. and Ph.D or equivalent in above discipline. Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students is highly desirable with minimum of 5 years experience in teaching/research/industry of which 2 years post Ph.D experience.
Process & Food Engineering BE/B.Tech and ME/M.Tech. in Processing and Food Engineering with first class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech. or  ME/M.Tech and Ph.D or equivalent in above discipline. Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students is highly desirable with minimum of 10 years experience in teaching/research industry of which 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. In case of research experience, good academic record and books/research papers publication/ IPR/Patents.
Irrigation & Drainage Engineering M.E/M.Tech. in Irrigation & Drainage Engineering with first class or equivalent either in BE/B.Tech. or  ME/M.Tech and Ph.D or equivalent in above discipline. Post Ph.D publications and guiding Ph.D students is highly desirable with minimum of 10 years experience in teaching/research industry of which 5 years should be at the level of Associate Professor. IMPPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Before submission of Application Form, the candidate should carefully read the details of posts, requisite qualifications & experience, terms & conditions, processing fee, and other details posted on the University website (csauk.ac.in).
  2. Candidate should submit his/her ‘Application Form’ complete in all respect along with bank draft and essential and other supporting documents, through registered post/speed post to Director, Administration & Monitoring, C.S. Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Kanpur-208 002 (U.P.) on or before 20 April, 2019 upto 5:00p.m.
  3. Candidates should fill up Application Form, as well as Annexure I, II & III and attach evidence for Essential qualifications, Publication, Award/Fellowship/externally funded project, Innovations, Foreign visit for research work, and Administrative/Managerial experience. Scores will be given only on the basis of evidence provided by the candidate.
  4. Candidates, who wish to apply for more than one post, should submit separate Application Form for each post.
  5. In-service candidate must send his/her application through proper channel. However, an advance copy of application (along with bank draft and other documents) should reach before the last date.
  6. Candidate should attach following documents with the Application Form:

(ii) One latest colored passport-size self attested photograph should be pasted on the    Application form.

PROCESSING FEE

Non-refundable application processing fee in the form of a bank draft of Rs. 1500/- (Rupees one thousand five hundred only) for General and OBC candidate and of Rs. 750/- (Rupees seven hundred fifty only) for SC/ST candidate drawn in favour of “Comptroller, C.S. Azad University of Agric. & Tech., Kanpur”, payable at ‘SBI, CSAU Branch, Kanpur (Code No. 3809)’ is essential. The prescribed processing fee will not be refunded under any circumstances.

GENERAL INSTRUCTION, TERMS & CONDITIONS

  • The candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • The retirement age for all teaching posts will be as per University Rules.
  • Reservation Rules issued by State Government of U.P.O. No. 1028/67d`f’kv&16&,D;w& 3003@82 dated 24.08.2016 will be applicable. The claimant for reservation must furnish the certificate as applicable, issued by the competent authority.
  • These posts are temporary but likely to continue.
  • The main responsibility of the recruited faculty will be teaching of UG and PG Courses, development of course curriculum and establishment of laboratories. The additional duties in research, extension, administration, development of farm & laboratories, etc. will have to be performed as and when assigned by the competent authority.
  • University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts, fill or cancel any of posts in any of the subjects/disciplines listed above without assigning any reason.
  • The last date for receiving the application in the University office is 20 April, 2019 up to 5 p.m. The application received after the last date shall stand rejected. Applicants should clearly note that the University will, in no case be responsible for non receipt of their application and any delay in receipt thereof on any account.

  4. No TA/DA shall be paid to the candidate for attending the interview.
  5. The University is governed by the Act & Statues of the Agriculture University Act 1958 of Uttar Pradesh, as amended from time to time.
  6. There is no age limit for the posts of Professor and Associate Professor. However, for the posts of Assistant Professor upper age limit for candidates shall be 40 years as on the last date of application, with relaxation of 05 years in case of OBC and SC/ST category.
