| The
Academic Council |
| |
The
academic component of the University is monitored
and governed by the Academic Council, which is the supreme body administering the academic life of the University.
The Academic Council has the duty to direct, control and supervised the academic
affairs of the University, and is responsible for the maintenance of standards of instruction,
education and examination and the requirements for obtaining degrees. It also exercises
such other powers and performs such other duties as may be prescribed. The UP Agricultural University (UP Act XLV of 1958) ordinance provides that the Academic Council
shall be responsible for general control of Teaching & Education programmes within the University subject to the provisions of the Act & Statutes. The Academic Council shall consist of :
