Dr. V.P.N. Singh, Professor & Head, Agronomy has taken over as the Director of Research of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur on January 15, 2010. Born on January 01, 1949 at Ballia, he obtained his M.Sc. Ag. Agronomy from Kanpur University in 1969 and D. Phil. in 1975 from Allahabad University, Allahabad. His research and teaching experience is more than 34 years, in which he made outstanding research contribution in Agronomy and especially in development of wheat varieties like- K-9351, K-9423 and K-9533 and K-0307 (Shadabdi) and have generated fruitful inferences for the direct use to the farmers and farm scientist at State and National level

Dr. Singh has been Expert member of a number of scientific events, member of scientific and professional societies; He is a also recipient of a number of recognitions and awards.

Dr. Singh has to his credit more than 95 publications comprising research papers reviews and popular articles, technical reports etc.. He has guided 10 M.Sc. Ag. and 03 Ph.D. students.
