About the College
The College of Agriculture, Lakhimpur Kheri (campus) located at Jamunabad, Gola, Lakhimpur Kheri, (U.P.) – a constituent college of Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur. This second campus of college of Agriculture established during 2014-15 for awarding B.Sc. Ag. (Hons.) degree programme. At present, 60 students are being admitted each year and currently 166 students are studying in under graduate level.
The undergraduate programme in agriculture has already been started six years back (2015-16) and the students pursuing education at main campus at Kanpur during the developmental stage. The students of first batch was awarded degree in 2019. Now, the building including laboratories, Classrooms and Hostels have been constructed. Teaching has been started from academic session (2019-20) of College of Agriculture, Lakhimpur Kheri Campus.
The curriculum of the graduate programme has a practical basis with sound scientific knowledge. A detailed course syllabus and course outline for each course has been developed as per ICAR fifth Deans’ committee recommendations and approved by academic council of the university. The students are provided course outlines in the first lecture class, which the concerned instructor covers during the semester. Students are exposed to rural agricultural work experience in their seventh semester, which includes attachment to villages and prominent agro-industries besides Plant Clinic Laboratory and fieldwork. Sufficient indoor and outdoor game facilities are available for the students. Besides, well-equipped laboratories of integrated Pests Management and Analytical and Quality Control are available in the college, the students also have access to central facilities of the University. The efforts are being made to recruit teaching staff through open competition. The students’ research farm and laboratories are being developed to carry out quality research and practical learning.

- Organized first time Annual Sport and Games Meet during 09-11 March, 2021.
- College of Agriculture Lakjimpur Kheri (Campus) Organized 07 days special camp of NSS Volunteers.
- Developed 07 hectare barren land to cultivated land and strated Seed Production Programme.

- Published more than 110 Agromet Advisory Service (AAS) Bulletins for the South west semi arid zone and 40 Agromet Advisory Bulletins for the Central Plain zone on the basis of weather forecast given by NCMRWF, Mausam Bhawan, New Delhi during Feb27, 1999 to July 4, 2001.
