Dr. Ashish Kumar Srivastava was born on 8th March, 1966 at District- Kanpur, UP, obtained B.Sc. (Ag. & AH) and M.Sc. (Ag.) in Agronomy from Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur and Ph.D. as major in Agronomy from N.D. University of agriculture & Technology, Kumar Ganj, Faizabad, UP. He started his career as Training Associate cum Jr. Scientist (Agro-Forestry) in the year 1992. Presently working as Professor (Agronomy) in the Department of Agronomy. He has more than twenty nine years of experience on Teaching, Research and Extension. He has developed technology of Sodic Soil reclamation through different Agro-forestry systems, chemical and integrated weed management practices of cereals, pulses and oilseed crops. Recently developed intercropping technology of Citronella with Kharif and Rabi crops for Central Plan Zone of UP and technology accepted by Department of Agriculture, Uttar Pradesh and published in Kharif Saghan Padhht (2017). Dr. Srivastava has worked as District Project Coordinator, UP Diversified Agriculture Support Project, UP World Bank Funded Project and also worked as Secretary ATMA from 2002-2003 of district- Jhansi and Jalaun of UP. He has number of publications to his credit (i) 39 research papers (ii) 22 research paper presented in conference (iii) 15 popular articles (iv) 02 book contribution. Guided 13 M.Sc. (Ag.) students and co-guided 08 M.Sc. and 01 Ph.D. students. Dr. Srivastava received ISPRD Fellowship award-2009, Appreciation Certificate-2004 from UPDASP, SRDA Fellowship award 2018 received at Indonesia, Certificate of appreciation by society of SRMR 2019, CSAU Certificate of Appreciation 2019, best Teacher award during the national conference NCRTNFBASE-2020 and Indo-Asian Distinguished Agronomist Award 2020 by the RED Talks International Academy. Also worked as Resource Person (Core Trainer and Master trainer) of IPM in Rice in the year 1994 and 1995. He visited and presented paper in Sri Lanka and Indonesia. Dr. Srivastava is also working as Procurement officer and member of Interdisciplinary Team world Bank funded project CAAST-NC and also involved in other University curriculum work like Associate Dean Student Welfare, Assistant Registrar, Nodal Officer Scholarship and warden.
