Dr. (Mrs.) Rashmi Singh was born on 04th August, 1976. She obtained her B.Sc. (Home Science) degree from NDUA&T, Kumarganj, Faizabad in 1996, M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition in 1998 from GBPUA&T, Pantnagar, and Ph.D. degree from CSJMU, Kanpur in the year 2015. During post graduate she received teaching assistantship and worked as teaching assistant at College of Home Science, GBPUA&T, Pantnagar. Also worked as SRF in AICRP (FN) at GBPUA&T, Pantnagar from year 1999 to 2002 and gained expertise in preparation of database of nutritional recipes of different states of the country and estimation of micronutrients in foods. She Joined as Assistant Professor in the College of Home Science, CSAUA&T, Kanpur in the year 2002 and currently working as Associate Professor. She is having more than 20 years experience of UG and PG teaching and research. Till date Dr Singh has guided about 30 M.Sc. thesis as Chairperson. She is member of professional societies of national repute Indian Science Congress, Uttar Pradesh Association of Agricultural Sciences and Nutrition Society of India. She is also working as Associated scientist in the Centre of Excellence of Wheat. Dr. Singh has published more than 29 papers in peer reviewed National and International Journals with the citations of 110 and also published popular articles in various magazines for rural and farm women. Prepared 03 practical manuals for UG and PG students of Food Science and Nutrition. She has participated in more than 40 National and International Conference and received awards for best poster presentations also organized several on-campus as well as off-campus trainings for students and faculty under NAHEP-CAAST Project. Peer recognition of Dr. Singh includes worked as member of Joint Review Mission of Mid Day Meal in Uttar Pradesh by MHRD, Govt. of India in the year 2018. Appointed Member as expert for food safety and nutrition at District level committee for food safety. Appointed as expert for M.Sc. Viva Voce, external examiner for practical exams, paper setter of different universities, member of board of studies RML, Ayodhya and has reviewed research papers for national journals and for International journal Ecology of Food and Nutrition.
